As a Cognitive Behavioral Psychologist with an extensive and medical background, I work to challenge negative thought patterns one has about themselves, their relationships, their life circumstances, illnesses and how they see themselves in the world while understanding their individual stories in order to alter unwanted behaviors and/or states of being to relieve mental disorders causing dysfunction, discomfort, distress and assist in the relief of pain, both psychological and medical.
In addition to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I may include non-machine assisted biofeedback, mindfulness, meditation, psychological testing, life skills/personal management coaching, Physician referral for medical tests, medication, and physical evaluation as part of my treatment strategies.
I accept most insurance plans including Medicare and offer a sliding scale to those who pay privately, those without insurance and those who have Medicaid or cannot pay.
